"This morning my husband asked me to make chocolate chip cookies with lots of chocolate chips and chopped walnuts for him to take to work. Sounds yummy, Huh! It is more than 12 hours later and I have not eaten one, nope not even one and have no desire to eat one. Now that is unheard of, to be sure. At lunch I left food on my plate!!! How could I do that, with all the staving children in the world? I did not feel wasteful, I felt like I was nurturing and caring for myself. Leaving food on my plate has been nearly impossible for me to do and look at me today - I did it calmly and it was fully OK to do so. Hurray!!!
Last fall when I started with Brittany in her Skinny Genes Program I did not lose weight as I was being very rebellious and did not recognize it, but Brittany did. She gave me homework to do on self sabotage which we know is dealing with the authoritative figure/s in our life. Either I was not willing to do it or my authoritative figures were too powerful because I did not cooperate and I rarely did the homework. It was no surprise to Brittany as I repeatedly asked her the same question, why aren't I losing weight? She patiently schooled me and gave me directions to address the authoritative figure and also push the food away. It was not until this program that I have courageously gotten serious about addressing those who mercilessly controlled me in the past, my late husband and now one of our grown sons even today. It has not been difficult, but it has been emotional. I have yelled and bitterly wept. I am here to tell you have lost more than 10 pounds in the first 8 weeks of The Think and Thin Thrive Program. I have been a tough nut to crack, my own saboteur, and my greatest enemy, thanks to all those who have helped me tap through 'stuff' and more 'stuff'. I thank you one and all, the journey has begun. Since the start of Think and Thin my jeans are fitting looser and I have to pull them up on my waist, I eat differently by choice, I am calmer and able to focus better. Physical weight and emotional weight, be gone. I love it. I have terrific tapping buddies who truly care, give all they have and then some. A huge Thank You!!!

I find Brittany very real and congruent. I am South African by birth, not American, and I often find the American internet hype very alienating because it isn’t real. But Brittany is really very down to earth and appealing. It is a great pity I can’t be on the calls, but 3am is really not doable. I would be a basket case the next day and this just wouldn’t be a good idea. I sent a question via the question box for the first call, but there was no indication that it was even received and Brittany didn’t read it out. I’ll try again this week when module 3 goes up. "My eating habits have changed SOOO much. Im only in week 3 of the program, no weight loss yet - but seriously, my mental relationship with food is SO different than when I first started! I've actually developed a DISTASTE for fast food - which is insane. I still get urges to grab food while I'm driving, but when I think about where to go, nothing ever sounds good so I just come home. I used to have snacking cravings all day every day, but now I only get them at night after dinner. I know I still have a lot of sabotage/anger work to do - that's going slowly but surely! It seems like I'm always the worst right after I tap, so I have gotten into a pattern of a few weeks on, a few off, so I'm not constantly acting crazy. It's seemed to help a lot - I didn't really see a lot of changes until I took a break. I am so grateful for you! "

“I’ve had a really intense experience and am so grateful for the whole thing! I didn’t realize that where I started at the beginning of Think and Thin was really painful: I didn’t know what to eat, worried about eating the wrong thing, eating under stress, etc. Now I really look forward to eating, I eat, then move on.
The stress around food isn’t there anymore. I realized I have not binged in a month and I started getting messages from my body where my body communicates to me what it wants and what it doesn’t. “Last week, I travelled back to Ireland for an update at our head office. This is the first time going back there since starting this program. I am Irish, and going home is always dangerous territory for me, always feel obliged to visit family and normally eat everything in sight (to stop myself telling them what I really think :-)) This time it was completely different. Just one example, at the airport, I normally have a large latte and even larger cupcake as a reward for making it there in one piece. Instead, I bought a book I have wanted for ages but had thought it was too expensive. I ate three meals a day, virtually no snacking and made no effort at all to see family. It’s like I am beginning to set boundaries, but in a very calm relaxed way. Not too shabby at the age of 51.
I have other exciting news too. I am going to be working in Vietnam for the next six months. Woo hoo! Loving this work.”

“Down 12 lbs in 6 weeks! Tapping helps a lot, but the “”push the food away”” exercise has been the most powerful tool I have ever learned regarding food. Exquisitely painful for two minutes and lots of echoes, but really does take the charge out of cravings, now they are merely interesting and no so compelling. Not feeling deprived at all! In fact, feeling nourished by the adult who now understands and is able to communicate to that child seeking safety, that it’s not in the food.”

Binging: I'm still trying to get my bearings being thin again. I binge about 1x per week but now I eat much less when I "binge". Now when I catch myself eating beyond being full, I connect with my emotions, appreciate and love them, and do something else I enjoy. Before this program I would eat a large bowl of ice cream sundae just about every evening, then move on to junk food rationalizing that I'll lose the weight tomorrow. Now I use the tools from Think and Thin. I eat fresh simple food. I initially tapped for ice cream cravings. I have eaten only a couple of scoops of ice cream since I started last July. No guilt. I sometimes do have emotional eating urges but I know what they are and that's okay. I thank them for being there to let me know something is up.
Before, I ate mindlessly, I ate any time, any where. I now recognize that I was taking Xanax in the form of food. I ate anything I could put in my mouth proud that I wouldn't starve because I could eat anything that's available. I know now that I am not starving, eating was a diversion I used to keep me from facing my truth. Once I understood within my deeper self that I'm not made of my emotions, and that I can actually separate emotions from food, it was completely different.
With years of therapy before TandT, I have learned more about myself that would have taken years to bring up. I still find echoes, take care of them quickly, and now they are interesting facets of me rather than being scary ghosts jumping out from the past to hunker down protected under a plate of food.
What helped in Think and Thin Thrive: Tapping for cravings, mindful eating, chakra work. I read Anodea Judith and and was amazed how the chakras coincide with what I studied in clinical psychology. Echo tapping was definitely helpful, Pushing food away and throwing it out, lettuce for dinner. Lots of echoes cleared. Lots of support and your being available for us.
Your guidance in TanT about healthy eating was so helpful. Even my husband is staying away from the GMOs and processed foods, trying to eat organic and grass fed meat and dairy. Not 100% yet but very conscious of it. I want to keep this quality of life and now I prefer healthy food choices that just taste better to me. I do exercise 1/2 hour to an hour a day for at least 5 days a week.
I have actually been exercising for many years and it feels so good to be more strong and flexible now that I have lost weight! Having said that, I'm now 128 lbs at 5'5"". I love where my 6/8 dress size has taken me. Now fortunately I'm healthy at 67 (68 in September) depression is gone and I on the whole feel happy.
This weight loss due to Think and Thin Thrive is different with no deprivation whatsoever. It's a new relationship with myself and with food and this transformation affects the quality of my life not only in my body being lighter, but how much more richly I live my life. So many things to do, enjoy, and explore besides eating.
All the credit for your great work, the thorough supervision, intensive training, detail, and support you are offering has been really strong for me in what I've experienced in your Think and Thin Thrive training. Thank you for that. As a professional I'm now much more sensitive to my clients, provide them with more effective support and intervention, and most of all, they have expressed their gratitude.

“Hi, I was unable to listen to the live call, because I’m in Australia and I was at work (for both of the times). I have now listened to the recording and it was amazing. I’ve been doing EFT for a couple of years and I’ve seen an EFT counsellor to help me with my weight issues, but it had the opposite effect unfortunately. …Identifying the blocks was so useful - I the emotion in the food and I’m too sexy… Doing the Ball of Light exercise was amazing. I became so emotional once I took the emotion out of the chocolate and formed the ball of light, I immediately felt like I was about to burst into tears - there just a rush of emotions in my chest. I didn’t actually cry, but there were tears in my eyes throughout the exercise and there was a huge decrease in my cravings - I have more to do, but I know this has made a difference.
